WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Stormwater Inspector for our San Bernardino, CA office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications, including Caltrans Standards
  • Monitor construction for compliance with project documents
  • Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures
  • Review and inspection and compliance monitoring of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Best Management Practices (BMP)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7 years of inspection experience in highway/bridge/public works/transit
  • Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD) and knowledge and experience with SWPPP program and the General Permit
  • Knowledge of Caltrans Standard Plans, Standard Specifications, and Construction Manual.
  • Ability to travel to construction sites (local)
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures  
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Civil Engineering Degree from ABET accredited school
  • Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality , CPSWQ, Inc.
  • Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, CPESC, Inc.
  • Registered Professional Engineer, Civil, in California or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate
