WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Inspector for our Colorado Springs office.
 
WSP is seeking a motivated field inspector for various transportation construction projects throughout the State of Colorado.  Assignments vary from small municipal projects to large multimillion-dollar highway, airport, and light rail projects. Projects are in the metro areas and in the remote areas of Colorado.  Potential to see the entire state.
 
Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Salary: $54,200 to $102,200

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Complete and review construction diaries and back check quantities.
  • Daily interaction with contractor foreman and supervisors.
  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications, monitor and document contractor activities for compliance with project documents.
  • On site material soils, concrete, asphaltic concrete inspection including measuring, calculating, and documenting quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7 years of Experience in the Construction Industry
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with CDOT, City of Colorado Springs, El Paso County, and other Colorado agencies
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Roadway Traffic Control and Current Colorado Traffic Control Supervisor Certification (ATTSA)
  • CDOT Basic Highway Math, Basic Construction Surveying, and Basic Highway Plan Reading Certification or Equivalent
  • Stormwater Management and Erosion Control Certification
  • LabCat, ACI, NICET, and WAQTC certifications
  • Materials testing experience
