This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Assistant Program Manager for our New York, NY office. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The candidate will collaborate with staff including project managers, construction managers, project controls (cost engineers, cost estimators, schedulers, document management), and executive management; respond to requests and to produce required documents in a fast paced environment.  

Your Impact

  • Serve as Assistant Program Manager on a multi-billion dollar program
  • Work with Top Level Contractors on Mega-Projects or Major Programs
  • Assist the project team with scope, schedule and budget preparation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to achieve overall project objectives.
  • Work closely with clients to meet and exceed their expectations.
  • Ensure quality project deliverables commensurate with quality standards and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with design disciplines that support the construction phase of projects
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators and contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Support procurement of design and construction contracts
  • Support construction sequencing, staging, and logistics
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
  • This position is contingent upon client approval
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction or related field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with construction or design projects.  
  • Ability to adapt easily to the demands of multiple diverse situations, problem-solving, detail-oriented, and able to operate effectively in the face of uncertainty and change
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as needed, in a high-pressure environment with multiple assignments due in tight timeframes
  • Proven ability to identify problems, use sound judgement to recommend alternative solutions.  assess the accuracy and relevance of information; ability to use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations
  • Understanding of project environment and context in preparation of documents that will often be subject to external scrutiny and public disclosure
  • Demonstrated experience in compilation and preparation of written reports comprehensively addressing typical program requirements and functions
  • Outstanding written, analytical, and organizational skills.  Excellent oral, interpersonal, and overall communications skills, 
  • Expertise in using major software: Word, Excel, Power Point (primarily MS Office) 
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

 

Expected Salary: $160,000 - $185,000
