This Opportunity

WSP USA Services Inc is currently looking for a Director of Roadway User Charging (RUC) Operations for the Mobility Operations business line to develop growth strategies and identify project/program in the Roadway User Charging (RUC) industry and similar account-based business lines with both new and existing clients. The individual selected for this role will drive the RUC business development, US strategy and report directly to the Mobility Operations National Business Line Executive or designated executive. This position is ideally locally in any of the 200 WSP office in the US.

Your Impact

  • Jointly develop, implement and execute a business development strategy that will exceed growth targets for the RUC business
  • Coordinate business development strategies with the Mobility Operations Director of Business Development
  • Leverage client relationships across all markets sectors of WSP including Transportation, Federal, Environment, Energy and other appropriate WSP sectors.
  • Identify growth opportunities through new and existing markets and clients and drive growth initiative implementation
  • Identify priority pursuits and projects and manage an active involvement in all aspects of client development, pursuit development, teaming, and all aspects of capture planning including interview preparation
  • Develop, maintain and grow relationships with strategic teaming partners
  • Anticipate industry trends and position the firm to be at the forefront of technology through innovation and state-of-the art technology implementation
  • Coordinate with the Mobility Operations, Director of Technology on all RUC innovation and participate in other business line discussion to determine best practices across all businesses
  • Represent firm through involvement in client and industry events
  • Create a culture of collaboration, working with the other National Business Line (NBL) Leaders, Regional and Local Business leaders to develop strategies and tactical action plans and to deliver business development and client relations objectives
  • Conduct periodic meetings with Clients to develop client relationships, gathering of information for upcoming projects, and to assess the firm’s performance on ongoing projects.
  • Support delivery of specific projects and programs nationally towards the goal of growing the overall business. May become periodically active in projects, as needed based on skill set and available time.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or at least 15 years’ experience working on and leading a diverse range of account-based businesses, revenue collection, transportation or other RUC related business types.
  • Ability to prepare and manage a program, technology, proposals and presentations.
  • Ability to manage schedule and budget while working with clients and managers of various disciplines across the organization
  • Affiliation with professional societies and active industry and community involvement highly desirable
  • Must be willing and open to travel nationally
  • The selected candidate MUST be able to work in the United States immediately, without sponsorship
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures 
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in RUC business execution, business development or related technology in excess of $1M in size.

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $141,000 - $239,700
