WSP is currently initiating a search for a Grants Development & Management Sr. Consultant in our Washington DC office and all continental US locations. This position could have the option to work remotely and/or in-office for a major East Coast multi-modal transportation authority.
 
WSP’s Grants Development & Management group supports our clients in planning, preparing, winning, and managing competitive grant funding from federal, state, and local sources. We offer clients the technical and strategic experience to select the most competitive projects for funding and develop compelling grant applications.

Your Impact

  • Support clients in the day-to-day management of active grants, specifically with the compliance and reporting requirements of U.S Department of Transportation (USDOT) / Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grants.
  • Develop grants and design funding strategy for public infrastructure projects, on behalf of clients, and in collaboration with the Advisory team and other WSP practice groups;
  • Contribute to business development activities in pursuit of grant support consultant contracts;
  • Contribute to client engagement and foster client relationships; current with trends, opportunities, etc 
  • Manage and mentor junior consultants working on grants
  • Serve as task lead / key staff for grant assistance contracts; manage scope, schedule, and budget
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of federal policy and grant guidelines
  • Provide grant writing and funding strategy support for infrastructure projects
  • Actively contribute to client relationships (both internally and externally)
  • Support the professional growth of our junior consultants within the Grants Development & Management group

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Grant writing experience for government and non-profit programs
  • FTA TrAMS grant experience 
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated passion for supporting clients with pursuing grants 
  • Familiarity with  USDOT, other federal, state and local as well as non-profit  competitive grant programs.
  • Grants management experience
  • Post Graduate Education (Graduate Level Courses Short Courses, Masters, PhD)
  • Active member of local professional organizations

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $110,900 - $130,000
