WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Electrical Engineer/Project Manager for our San Francisco, CA office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to manage complex projects with variable objectives and aggressive timelines
  • Oversight of detailed design of medium and low voltage distribution systems for Electrification Projects spanning Transit, Freight, Fleets, and more.
  • Utility Coordination for Electrification Projects
  • Understanding and implementing unique client needs for resiliency and reliability on zero emissions vehicle infrastructure projects.
  • Distributed Energy Resource integration into smart grid and microgrid systems
  • Energy usage analysis in close coordination with transit planning resources
  • Maintaining and enhancing client relationships and working closely with key client relationship managers
  • Assistance with project pursuits including estimating budgets, scope of work, and schedules.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years experience in related utility industry fields or project management experience
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PE or PE eligible as soon as possible
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Excel/MS suite of tools for data analysis
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new and evolving industry technologies
