This Opportunity 

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager for our Miami office.  Be involved in projects with our Florida PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 

The I-395/SR 836/I-95 Project is a partnership between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the Greater Miami Expressway Agency (GMX), with construction limits on State Road (SR) 836 beginning at NW 17 Avenue and continuing through the SR 836/I-395/I-95 (Midtown) Interchange to the MacArthur Causeway Bridge. The limits on I-95 are from NW 8 Street to NW 29 Street. The project focuses on safety, sustainability, community, and mobility and includes the construction of an iconic multiple arched signature bridge for which this candidate will serve as it’s construction Senior Project Manager.

 

 

Your Impact:
Job Description:

  • Participate as a member of the Consultant Construction Engineering and Inspection (CCEI) contract team
  • Direct a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection project/program
  • Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
  • Review programs for conformance with Client standards
  • Identify and pursue future opportunities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects and the successful pursuit of follow-on assignments
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of
  • Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs

Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Civil Engineering degree and registered in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer (or if registered in another state, the ability to obtain registration in the State of Florida within six months).
  • 15 years of engineering experience [(two (2) years of which are in major road and cable supported bridge construction)] or [(five (5) of which are in major cable stayed bridge construction) for Complex Bridge Projects with the exception of PTS projects which require two (2) years of major bridge construction].
  • Attend the CTQP Quality Control Manager course and pass the examination.
  • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification.
  • Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues (Self-Study Course), and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
