WSP is seeking a Senior Student Engineering Intern to work out of our Milwaukee, WI office. 

Your Impact

  • Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
  • Assist in design using various types of CADD design software
  • Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis
  • Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates
  • Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Current standing as a Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate program
  • Experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have completed basic foundational courses: Intro to Engineering, Engineering Drafting Course
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Uphold workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, InRoads, and/or OpenRoad
