WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Civil Engineer for our Tamuning, Guam office.
Your Impact
- Lead and coordinate multi-discipline technical design teams.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating multiple design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, geotechnical, traffic, utilities, right-of-way, and environmental.
- Lead, supervise and/or oversee the preparation of final design plans, cost estimates and specifications.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to author technical memorandums and reports.
- Perform complex design tasks and produce engineering drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of transportation projects in AutoCADD Civil 3d and
- Microstation Inroads.
- Assist in Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the work of others.
- Communicate with clients for projects and to maintain client relationships to support business development goals.
- Perform project management duties including establishing scopes, budgets, and schedules.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Seven-to-twenty (7-20) years of experience in engineering or related field.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain.
- Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience leading and supervising multi-disciplinary design tasks and projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
- Proficiency in Civil3D and/or Inroads.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in the United States immediately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Transportation engineering experience with Guam Department of Public Works, Federal land or Federal Highway projects, or city and county government work.
- Design Experience with Bridge inspection and bridge design, FEMA grant applications, pavement design, traffic engineering and drainage design.
- Ability to obtain a Guam PE license in 6 months.
