SR. WATER/WASTEWATER ENGINEER - 17031

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for our Orlando, FL office.  Be involved in projects with our Water Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support our dynamic and highly talented multi-disciplinary team on water and wastewater projects including, but not limited to, water and wastewater treatment facilities, layout, design and analysis of collection and conveyance systems and analysis of hydraulic structures.

Your Impact

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver design solutions for a wide range of water and wastewater projects, with a particular focus on treatment facilities and water resources management
  • Lead design tasks to ensure delivery of design, plans, specifications, technical reports and analyses that meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
  • Participate in business development activities including marketing, client engagement, developing scopes of work, and budgeting
  • Contribute to staff development through mentoring and developing a team of entry level and mid-level engineers, including identification and support to future task leads
  • Provide quality review and quality assurance to help drive and maintain consistently high standards of quality

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BS in civil or environmental engineering or related field from an accredited program
  • 5+ years of relevant work and project experience in water and/or wastewater treatment facilities
  • Must have a current Professional Engineering certification/registration in Florida
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of conduct and related policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Civil Engineer (P.E.) license (for additional states) preferred
  • Proven ability to contribute to the delivery of complex multidisciplinary treatment facilities and water resources design projects
  • Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement are highly desirable    #LI-PJ1
