This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Administrative Assistant on our Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) contract in the Baltimore, MD metro area.  Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.  This is a full time on-site role.

 

 

 

Your Impact

 

Job Duties:

Assist Project Managers, Project Engineers, Management and other Project Support Staff in the following areas:

  • Project/program management
  • Invoicing
  • Document control
  • Configuration management and Project Wise support
  • Facilitate meetings
  • Preparation of various reports such as project status, project budgets, schedules, grants, etc.
  • Presentation preparation
  • Correspondence, Desktop application specialization
  • Deliver and retrieve various project documents throughout the MTA Construction Management Division (travel to field office sites as required)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years of administrative support experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision and serves as the liaison between MPMO (Metro
  • Good math and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to be mentored.
  • Ability to produce quality results under strict time constraints.
  • Basic understanding of Construction Management practices.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good computer skills, including functional familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge/experience with construction projects.
  • Associate Degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Environmental, or Systems disciplines), Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Liberal Arts, or similar course of study.
