This Opportunity

Take part in providing local technical assistance for the design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sectors. Tasks may include basic assistance with the research, design, concept development, and construction of roads, buildings, tunnels, dams, bridges, water supply systems, and sewage treatment.  Generates accurate and concise documentation regarding assigned aspects of the project.  Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

Your Impact

  •  Complete traffic studies, capacity analysis, crash analysis, and report writing

  •  Assist and support design teams in the execution of projects for signing, pavement markings, traffic signals and lighting

  • Provide technical support in various stages of projects, including preliminary design, final design and contract documentation including cost estimates and specifications

  • Discuss and propose solutions to technical issues during studies and design

  • Maintain positive team relationships

  • Assist and coordinate with key staff across disciplines (i.e. roadway, drainage, structures) as required

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university

  • 0-1 year of experience in transportation engineering

  • Hands-on experience with roadway design software such as Microstation or AutoCAD

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Authorization to work in the United States immediately

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EIT registration

  • Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD

  •  Experience with roadway design and/or site development through internships

  • Team leadership skills
