This Opportunity

WSP USA is initiating a search for a BIM Project Leader out of our NY Area Offices. 


The WSP BIM Project Leader is responsible for implementing and supervising drawing and modeling standards, managing drawing production, and performing non-routine and complex drafting and modeling assignments through the use of various software programs, primarily Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud, The BIM Project Leader will report to WSP USA's National Transportation Digital Delivery team and is also responsible for implementing BIM initiatives throughout the NE Region such as providing guidance to staff with regards to training, company standards, and modeling. 

Responsible for performing project BIM and Information Management functions for major transportation infrastructure projects, the BIM Project Leader will be well versed in information management process and have previous experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams in all aspects of information production, delivery and exchange. The BIM Project Leader will also be responsible for managing BIM project delivery both internally and externally to WSP on projects and should have experience running coordination and production delivery meetings.

Your Impact

  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, including advanced modeling, custom family creation, drawing package management, clash detection and scripting

  • Assists with managing the development and output of document sets for WSP engineering staff.
  • Performs Revit project setups and updates with some direction of engineering staff with some supervisory guidance. 
  • Implement drawing organization for large, complex drawing packages across multiple companies.
  • Facilitates collaboration and clash detection for a large, multi-discipline project team across multiple companies.
  • Troubleshoots general Civil 3D/Revit project-related issues with limited assistance of department management.
  • Participates in Civil 3D/Revit development.
  • Develops and mentors staff on WSP Revit standards and processes.
  • Self-Checks own work, and staff’s, to identify QA/QC improvement opportunities.
  • Leverages tools and technology to provide quality solutions to BIM team and staff.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required, AA in drafting design preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience using Revit & Navisworks technologies within the A/E/C industry
  • 8 + years’ experience with Navisworks and Revit documentation and management
  • Experience and understanding of document management applications (SharePoint, Newforma, Dropbox, BIM 360, etc.)
  • Proven ability to understand and recognize complex design problems.
  • Effective communication skills with a team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit preferred

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): Expected Salary: $89,500 - $182,400
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
