WSP is currently initiating a search for a Boston Department Head of Enclosures for our Boston, MA office. WSP works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.
Work will include new building and restoration and repair design of roofing and vertical building enclosures, building enclosure design consulting, including design and design reviews, specifications, design detailing, forensic investigation, and building enclosure commissioning. Candidate will be expected to manage teams of multiple staff on multiple projects at the same time, offer technical guidance, coordinate the appropriate technical leads for the project and be the primary point of contact for the client.
Your Impact
- Lead our Boston Building Enclosures Department
- Providing building enclosure consulting services
- Managing and guiding project teams for completing building enclosure design reviews
- Reviewing fenestration, vertical façade, roofing systems and waterproofing
- Performing technical review and completing on site forensic investigations and functional performance testing of enclosure systems
- Business development and maintaining strong relationships with clients and external professional and industry groups
- Lead our northeast regional teams and provide business development and talent growth
- Mentor and teach our team.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- 12 + years of experience in Building Enclosures / Construction
- Experience in quality control and management
- Extensive knowledge in all manners of building construction including fenestration, façade materials and roofing and waterproofing
- Extensive and successful business development experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
