This Opportunity

WSP USA is seeking a highly motivated Boston Practice Leader/Program/Project Manager to support our growing Environment practice. This is a high impact role, and the successful candidate will have significant input and influence in shaping the future structure and growth of our Earth and Environment Practice in New England. The preferred location for this position is in our Boston Office.

In this role, you will partner with key area and regional leaders and other stakeholders to champion the delivery of world-class Environmental services with an initial focus on Project/Program Management and Consulting services to consistently meet or exceed client expectations. 

The Boston Practice Leader is accountable for providing leadership and skills necessary to drive growth, talent acquisition and operating performance for the Earth and Environment practice.

Your Impact

  • Provide overall leadership to the Earth and Environment practice in Boston and ultimately expanding our delivery of professional project/program management and consulting services to both public and private clients.
  • Focus on both staff retention and talent acquisition.
  • Coordinate efforts with other business lines to strategically drive the business, manage project performance, staff development. 
  • Be a recognized leader in the local community; and be active with the outside organizations (EBC, SAME and others).
  • Maintain and develop key relationships with public and private clients, including strategic teaming partners.
  • Identify growth opportunities through new and existing markets and clients.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • B.S or M.S. Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated abilities in leadership, management, and administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, interface and communicate well at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop business from new and existing clients.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge and compliance expertise.
  • Strong personal safety culture.
  • Appropriate professional registration or certification.
  • Knowledgeable of environmental policies and regulations.
  • Ability to generate backlog for themselves and others.
