This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a  Full-Time Construction Inspector  for our  Sacramento, California  office. The following locations will also be considered: San Francisco area, Central Valley.  Be involved in projects with our  PMCM  Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.   WSP has offices in Antioch, Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, Roseville, and Stockton.

Your Impact

  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Monitor construction for compliance with project documents
  • Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures
  • Inspect road and bridge construction (based on Caltrans Standards)
  • Review, inspect, and approve traffic control systems, including lane closures, in accordance with Caltrans’ standards and requirements
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications

  • Review, inspect, and approve traffic control systems, including lane closures, in accordance with Caltrans’ standards and requirements
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associate’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
    • Essential professional licensure/certification.
    • Knowledge of Caltrans procedures is desirable
    • Knowledge and experience with Design Build Delivery Method
    • Knowledge and experience with Construction Oversight

    Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

    This position is contingent upon WSP being selected for a contract or program we are currently pursuing.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.  

    Expected Salary: $51,000- $92,000, depending on experience level, location and other qualifications.  Employee's hourly rate may increase if/when they perform services that are covered by California's Prevailing Wage laws on public sector projects, or are covered by other applicable wage and hour laws.
