This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Part-time Construction Office Manager for our Salt Lake City, UT  office.  Be involved in projects with our Construction Engineering Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges

Your Impact

  • Work Directly with Resident Engineers, Field Engineers and Field Inspectors.
  • Attend pre-construction and construction progress meetings.
  • File documentation in ProjectWise making certain complete documentation is maintained throughout the project.
  • Verify documentation meets the contract requirements and verify labor compliance, certified payrolls, and EEO interviews.
  • Verify Contractor pay estimates and assist the RE with project administration tasks.
  • Comply with client policies and procedures.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, scientists, engineers, inspectors, project control, and technicians.
  • Engage in occasional contact with client and contractor personnel.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with good written and verbal communication skills, customer service skills and experience interacting with clients, contractors, and internal staff.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements. 
  • Experience with UDOT documentation and documentation systems (Masterworks, ProjectWise, Certified Payroll, and PDBS)
  • UDOT Office Manager Certifications, partnering, UDOT CEMT
  • Experience with Federal-aid project requirements including labor compliance, certified payroll, Davis Bacon Wages, DBE reports, and EEO.
  • Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Proficiency with technical writing, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Essential professional licensure/certification.
