Your Impact

  • Create original design concepts to inform and engage communities for a wide variety of public projects.
  • Convert traditional documents and manuals into interactive e-learning modules
  • Collaborate with technical experts, communications team, and other team members to develop solutions.
  • Design and develop multimedia elements, such as videos, animations, and simulations, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Design execution of simple to complex motion-graphics assets for video and online modules. These assets include animated type, video edits, and special effects.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies, applying best practices to enhance training effectiveness.
  • Be highly creative in the design and development of educational materials.
  • Design and develop materials including documents, training modules, participant materials and collaborate with team members for implementation.
  • Ensure consistency of information and delivery across all locations with accurate and up to date information and materials.
  • Design branding, messaging, copy, logo design, infographics and a multitude of materials including print materials, document design, website design, online open houses and presentation design.
  • Create original artwork and illustrations, and provide a variety of design solutions for engaging communities consisting of technical and non-technical audiences in print and online.
  • Ability to learn to read technical documents and coordinate with engineers to develop simplified solutions  for non-technical audiences.
  • Design interactive experiences across multiple digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams, client agency staff, and technical experts; including accepting critiques and addressing feedback
  • Articulate design process for leadership and clients.
  • Assist in new business pitches by developing creative briefs, design concepts and visual assets
  • Work within existing design systems adapt to client needs.
  • Facilitate internal and external client, stakeholder and community meetings.
  • Maintain and grow relationships within WSP to continue to generate project work.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Creative graphic and digital communicator. Portfolio required.
  • 5-7 years industry experience and a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Web Design, Visual Communications, Instructional Design, Educational Technology,  or related discipline.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Creative Cloud), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Google Docs and other collaboration sites.
  • Proven experience as an E-Learning Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing interactive e-learning projects
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar).
  • Detail oriented, focused on efficiency and quality, and adept at collaboration in a fast-paced team environment- must be able to work on various projects in a parallel fashion.
  • Be articulate, attentive listener, comfortable with client relations, and able to think outside the boundaries of traditional design
  • Proven understanding of graphic design philosophy, fundamentals and best practices
  • Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and  adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with public information, policy, government relations, public affairs and communications for infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Photography (DSLRs, digital cinema cameras and accessories, and lighting).
  • Composite video editing, motion graphics, animation, retouching, and/or illustration.
  • Proficiency in Section 508 ADA compliance standards, file production standards for assisted technologies, document remediation, and compliance/reader software

Compensation:

Expected Salary : $100,000 - $110,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
