This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Early Career Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader for our Troy, New York office. Be involved in projects with our Bridge Inspection Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 

Your Impact

  • Review previous inspection reports and plan field operations
  • Perform inspection work and complete inspection reports under the supervision of a Team Leader
  • Enforce safe operations in field
  • Technical compliance
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. 
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. 

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering required; Masters preferred
  • Have 0 - 1 year of bridge experience in design, construction, inspection or other bridge engineering-related work
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Valid, unrestricted driver license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Prior internship related to the degree of study and the specific engineering discipline.
  • A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. 

Expected Salary: $55,400 - $91,300
