WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Structural Engineer for our Boston office. Be involved in projects with our Transportation Facilities team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
- The Transportation Facilities group is a building structures group primarily focused on buildings related to transportation – airports, transit buildings, train stations, parking garages.
- Key Clients for our Boston group include the Massachusetts Port Authority and MBTA.
Your Impact
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in structural engineering, or related degree.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
- Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local candidate preferred
- Familiarity with local building codes and design standards
- Recent graduate or May 2024 Graduate in an accredited structural Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program.
- 0-3 years of internship experience in structural Engineering.
- Experience using Revit, STAAD, ETABS,
