Your Impact

  • Conducting electrical engineering and design for a range of projects, including transit, industrial, and commercial facilities such as metro stations, transit bus garages, metro facilities, parking structures, and road and highway lighting.
  • Developing design criteria documents, calculations, drawings, and specifications for electrical systems, encompassing power distribution, standby power, lighting, communications, fire alarm, security, Microgrid and distributed generation, electric fleet charging infrastructure, and various other special systems.
  • Estimating costs for electrical systems.
  • Providing technical support during project construction phases.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 plus years of relevant post education experience in engineering and design of building or infrastructure electrical systems including standby power, lighting, and special systems.  
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
  • Experience to include:  performing site assessment surveys, preparing reports, performing studies, developing design, specifications, cost estimating, construction activity support, owner's engineer;  and supervision of less experienced engineers and designers and technicians.  Preferred areas of experience include one or more of the following categories of facilities:  Vehicular and rail tunnels, telecommunications, transit, aviation, industrial, commercial, educational, health care, or governmental.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures 
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
