This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a candidate to fill an embedded GIS Analyst position with a client in Denver, CO. This position will be responsible for working on-site with a large transportation agency to create and deliver geospatial solutions, as part of a dynamic results-oriented team. Our successful candidate will have experience working with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online applications, cloud and enterprise-level geodatabases, and mobile mapping applications.

Experience with Esri's Roads & Highways extension is a needed key skill for this position.

Your Impact

• Provide geospatial data management, mapping, and application support within ArcGIS Desktop and Online environments
• Utilize Esri's Roads & Highways extension to update key datasets and analyze routing changes 
• Deliver mapping and analysis solutions to internal and external clients
• Demonstrate and apply an understanding of geospatial topics and best practices including projections, online data management and version control, record review, georeferencing, geocoding, editing features, spatial analysis techniques, and field data collection techniques
• Learn and apply new skills and tools during the life cycle of a project
• Work with other GIS Analysts within adjacent teams to perform tasks such as: collecting project requirements, determine clients' needs, communicate solutions, follow workflows and data management techniques to increase efficiencies, and maintain the quality of deliverables

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Planning, or other related field with exposure to GIS applications
• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in GIS using Esri ArcGIS Pro and Online applications and related extensions
• Experience with Esri's Roads & Highways extension is a needed key skill for this position
• Excellent problem solving, time management and verbal/written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with external and internal clients of varying levels of computer literacy
• Be a team player with ability to work within tight deadlines for multiple projects
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, organized, and self-disciplined in order to organize time and work efficiently in a fast-paced and exciting consulting environment
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
•    Must pass background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience using Esri's Roads & Highways extension and experience using linear referencing tools for transportation networks
• Experience working in the Esri ArcGIS Online environment including managing and working with hosted feature datasets, applications, experience builder, and dashboards
• Working knowledge of Esri mobile applications (Field Maps, Survey123) for GNSS/RTK/GPS data collection
• Experience working with data in both Microsoft Excel and Access
• Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Arcade and Python scripting environments to automate tasks and workflows
• Cartographic skills that depict a clear understanding of map composition and symbology principles with the ability to produce maps for reports, meetings, posters, web mapping, etc.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $64,000- $70,000
