This Opportunity 

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Inspector (NICET II) for our New York City field office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Inspection Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact 

• Provide inspection service for various construction operations.
• Perform field tests of construction materials.
• Preparation of daily reports.
• Assist field staff with calculations and preparation of contract payments.
• Assist field staff with checking contractor payrolls and other submissions.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are 

Required Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of work experience in highway, bridge or other civil engineering related construction inspection.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrates commitment to keeping up-to-date in technical knowledge of current and emerging practices.
• Ability to work well in a team oriented environment.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• NACE or SSPC  or AMPP Certification
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
• NETTCP Certification 
 

Compensation and Benefits: 

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. 

Expected Salary: $51,000 - $92,000
