This Opportunity

WSP USA’s Strategic Growth Team is seeking a marketing professional to join our team-oriented Pacific Mountain West District and support proposal efforts across all major infrastructure markets: Transportation, Advisory, Property & Buildings, Energy, Water, Climate, Resiliency and Sustainability. This position will work with a variety of staff – engineers, planners and technical experts – to develop proposals, qualification packages, award submittals, resumes, project descriptions and support data management. We are looking for an energetic, motivated candidate with strong people skills and excellent writing and communication skills to support our fast-paced workflow.  

While our ideal candidate brings experience in the A/E/C or professional services industries, what we’re looking for is someone with a collaborative, can-do attitude who has a special knack for creativity and storytelling. The right candidate is an empathetic colleague who works to build community through positivity and who can bring home the win! This position can be located in either our Seattle, WA or Portland, OR offices. We support a hybrid work environment, with the ability to split time between working in office and remotely.

Your Impact

  • Leads standard proposals with limited supervision and supports complex proposals with general supervision
  • Researches, gathers and edits proposal materials, including writing, verifying, and formatting proposal information.
  • Ensures the various aspects of proposals and other marketing materials are compliant, accurate and delivered in a timely manner
  • Collaborates with technical staff and reviews/edits content for clarity, compliance and key messages
  • Collaborates with graphic design staff to plan and produce materials ensuring all proposal materials are effectively communicating the strategic vision identified for a given pursuit
  • Assists in managing opportunity and pipeline database management, compliance procedures and administrative support
  • May coordinate district communications activities, including creating press releases and announcements, writing articles for newsletters, and coordinating project awards and other special communications-related projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering architecture/construction industry environment, background in journalism, publishing or communications ideal
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills (both oral and written), critical thinking skills, and facilitation skills
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to produce high quality materials under deadline pressure
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite experience, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Some travel may be necessary
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Compensation


Expected Salary (all locations): $85,000-$105,000


WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
