This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a National Water Resources Market Leader for any mutually agreed WSP USA office.  The following locations are preferred: [Florida]; [Texas]; and [California].  Be involved in projects and development and implementation of WSP's US growth strategy with our [NBL Water] Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 


In the role of National Water Resources Market Lead, we'll count on you to support: implementing a national growth strategy for water resources market, which includes but not limited to: flood risk analysis, mitigation planning & management; flood controls and facilities engineering and implementation; ecosystem restoration (waterways, wetlands, estuaries and coastal shorelines); stormwater & watershed management and green infrastructure design. , engaging with key clients, building alliances with partners and peers, amplifying the company’s brand in the marketplace, participating in strategic sales, recruiting market-best talent, and leading and developing a team of national practice leaders. The position will collaborate significantly with regional leaders to implement regional strategies and initiatives, with an emphasis on client planning, industry knowledge sharing, and support for market development and sales.  Focus on delivery of water resources related planning, modeling, and design projects. Serve as technical advisor or overall quality assurance role. 

Your Impact

Assist local water resource market sector program lead with tracking opportunities and pursuits.
Provide support with proposal development related to wastewater pursuits. Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with all disciplines. The position will report directly to the National Business Line Executive - Water and is expected to work with leaders across the firm’s business lines for organic growth of the entire US business. Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15+ years in integrated water resources planning, water resources engineering, or related field.
  • Understanding of national trends within water resources practice areas.
  • Visible industry leader nationally in water resources modeling and design engineering with existing client and partner relationships and ability to develop new ones.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement national and regional strategies that result in support for investment and lead to organic growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to build pipeline of project opportunities, lead client engagement planning, and lead pursuit teams to successful sales.
  • Driven, yet empathetic leader, with experience working with diverse and independent teams dispersed across the US.
  • Ability to successfully navigate multi-dimensional organizations to bring new resources, innovations, ideas and best practices to clients.
  • Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, and persistence Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes and experience with change management
  • Commitment to internal and external client service and broad knowledge of and experience with technical and project delivery
  • Strong budget management / enterprise business aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Drive For Results, Priority Setting, Planning, Delegation, Directing Others, Conflict Management, Building Effective Teams Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
  • Experience with risk-based planning and risk informed decision making.
  • Familiarity with integration of resiliency into the planning process

Compensation


Expected Salary (all locations): $150,000- $300,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $155,000-$200,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
