WSP is currently initiating a search for a Scheduler for our Pompano Beach, FL office.  The following locations will also be considered: Fort Lauderdale; Miami; and Boca Raton.  Be involved in projects with our Project Controls Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 

Your Impact

Job Duties:

  • Develop project schedules to determine construction time.
  • Develop Master, Milestones and What-If schedules for projects
  • Review plans and ensure that schedules include all identified scope and work with Project Managers to identify schedule related risks
  • Work in the Project Controls group and assist with the development of Earned Value Management curves and KPIs
  • Interact with project controls, accounting, and scheduling staff from other agencies and firms.
  • Prepare project control reports with corrective action plans when required. 

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline desired, but not required with applicable experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing and managing complex, multi-contractor project Schedules.
  • Experience in developing project reports and documentation.
  • EVM development, implementation and analysis experience.
  • Knowledge of and experience in schedule preparation, schedule integration.
  • Experience with ORACLE PRIMAVERA P6 Professional and MS Projects.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to
  • WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures  Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management, schedule or cost management training or certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) or American Association of Cost Engineers (AACE) or other relevant industry organizations.
  • Experience with Transportation type projects.
  • Background knowledge of the civil engineering and construction industry desired.
  • Knowledge and experienced in developing Project Schedules, Cost and Change management systems and Earned Value Management reports.
  • Knowledge of project controls software such as Primavera P6, MS Projects, PowerBi Procore and InEight desired.
