WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Construction Inspector for our Pittsburgh, PA office. Be involved in projects with our Project Management / Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Provides field measurements and reports work performed
- Makes contract payments for review and approval
- Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, and standards
- Inspects various facets of construction work for compliance with the plans, specifications, and appropriate standards
- Observes general job safety practices and enforces the contractor's safety plan
- Comply with client policies and procedures for inspection of work under the contract
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma. Minimum of 5 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Experience with PennDOT transportation construction inspection
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Level 2 certification in Highway Construction or BS degree in Civil Engineering or closely rated field
- NECEPT Bituminous and/or NECEPT Concrete Field Technician certifications
- Highway and Bridge rehabilitation inspection experience
