This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for Inspectors for our Rhode Island Public Transportation Authority (RIPTA) East Side Tunnel Rehabilitation Project in Providence, Rhode Island .  The following locations will also be considered: Glastonbury, CT; and Boston, MA.  Be involved in projects with our Program Management and Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges

Your Impact

• Monitor and inspect construction activities.  
• Prepare daily inspector reports, track and calculate quantities, reconcile payment items, review and help compile pay estimates.  
• Review and coordinate material sampling, testing and certificate of compliance process.  
• Monitor and manage maintenance of traffic.  
• Coordinate record photographs, for tracking of daily progress
• Work collaboratively with other engineers, professionals, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, local, and privately funded improvement and development projects
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are

Required Requirements: 

• High School diploma
• Minimum 7 years of construction inspection and documentation experience, with a concentration in concrete inspection, or a combination of education and multiple years of experience.
• Excellent time management, verbal and written communication skills.  
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Requirements:  

• Associate of Science of Engineering or Construction Management, or related field.
• ACI Concrete or NETTCP Concrete certification.
