WSP USA is initiating a search for a Project Officer/Construction Manager (2nd Shift) in New York City (all 5 boroughs) supporting our client, School Construction Authority (SCA).
Your Impact
•Provide assistance to the NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) Project Manager as directed
•Manage schedules and budgets
•Provide interfaces with all stakeholders - contractors, consultants, schools & communities
•Enforce project contract documents, codes, policies and procedures
•Resolve issues related to design & construction
•Work with architects and designers on records regarding change orders, shop drawings, submittals/approvals and other technical matters
•Issue field memorandums and field directives
•Review contract claims & advise senior management
•Provide afterhours coverage for emergency coordination as needed.
•Provide weekend coverage as needed
•Travel throughout the region will be required, vehicle will be necessary with valid driver’s license.
•Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
•BS degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
•NICET Level IV in related field
•5-7 years experience in building construction or transit related projects as a resident engineer
•Transit Station construction experience
•Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP"s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
•Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP"s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
•P.E.License
•Bachelor"s Degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering
•CEI or IAEI Electrical Inspection Certificate
Compensation and Benefits:

Expected Salary: $78,300 - $157,000
