WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Portland, OR office. The following locations will also be considered: Vancouver, WA, Irvine, CA, San Diego, CA, Los Angeles, CA. Be involved in projects with our Energy - Electrification Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
- Assess fleet conversion opportunities and feasibility.
- Assess passenger vehicles conversion opportunities and feasibility.
- Prepare feasibility and conceptual report for fleet electrification.
- Contribute in electrical detailed design related to the Electrification sites - including electrical calculations - single line diagram - power distribution - grounding system - electrical installation details - construction specifications.
- Serving as a technical task lead on projects.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior electrical design experience.
- Past experience in LV electrical distribution system, unit-substation, and underground distribution.
- Experience in selecting the electrical equipment and reviewing submittal and equipment specification.
- Preferred to have Professional Engineer License.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, NEC, construction laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
- The successful candidate should be a dynamic, self-directed individual with an excellent understanding of electrical systems.
- Acting as a mentor for the Junior staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE License or Eligible for PE license.
- Revit/BIM Modeling/CADD.
- SKM/ETAP Power System Modeling.
- Experience with Electric Vehicles and EV Charging Equipment.
- Experience submitting electrical utility applications and coordinating new services.

Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $79,100 - $182,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
