Your Impact
- Developing and supervising geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing programs for highway and transit project
- Performing geotechnical analyses and design of shallow and deep foundations, embankments/cuts, and earth retaining systems for transportation/water/energy projects
- Performing numerical analysis for complex underground projects
- Preparing geotechnical memoranda and reports
- Developing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring plan
- Providing design services during construction
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical and tunnel engineering field
- Professional Engineer Registration in Oregon or Washington State
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel for field work
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical emphasis
- Familiar with seismic design specifications and requirements in Pacific Northwest
- Proven Experience using engineering software from commercially available developers (i.e. Ensoft, Itasca, Rocscience, Bentley)
- Experience with MicroStation and GIS systems
