Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead projects with all aspects of Transportation Design from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design
• Provide coordination with other design disciplines including: Planning, Environmental, Roadway, Structures, Hydraulics/Drainage and Traffic
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating staffing levels needed for projects
• Manage projects and maintain schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects, overseeing preparation of plans.
• Provide guidance and mentor junior staff
• Develop / Utilize relationships with clients to achieve WSP's business development goals
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• P.E. registration in Kentucky or ability to obtain in 6 months
• 10+ years experience in transportation and infrastructure projects
• Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills
• Experience managing junior design staff
• Experience preparing, managing and reviewing project deliverables including planning, design and construction documents, project reports, environmental studies, cost estimates, scopes of work, proposals, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with state and local governments, contractors, transportation agencies, etc
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
• Proven track record upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience having led and mentored a team
• Experience in MicroStation OpenRoads
