This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Environmental Consultant to support our Connecticut operations in our Shelton, CT offices.  Be involved in projects with our Earth and Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.  

Your Impact

  • Work with members of our Earth and Environment Team to provide direction, and support existing client relationships.
  • Serve as Project Hydrogeologist for current and future projects, working with clients daily to set strategic direction for project execution.
  • Prepare well site selection, pumping test, and well redevelopment work scopes.
  • Water withdrawal permitting.
  • Staffing and subcontractor coordination.
  • Pumping test supervision, water sample collection.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and train junior staff as required.
  • Data analysis and interpretation to determine the next course of action.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. 

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or environmental engineering.  
  • 5 to 7 years experience.
  • The candidate must have strong computer and writing skills.  Proficiency with ESRI’s ArcGIS software is a plus.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek
  • The successful candidate must be able to work independently and show a high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technical and business writing, office automation, and communication software, technology, and tools.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
