Location: Will report to the Church Rock, NM location and field work will include New Mexico and surrounding states.  Travel further afield may be possible.

Working under limited supervision to provide radiological assessments, conduct radiation surveys and provide work direction to other technician staff.  Interpret radiological data and perform oversight and project monitoring for radiation hazards.

Your Impact

•    Conduct tests and investigations in the field to obtain radiological data 
•    Perform field tests according to prescribed procedures, processes, and standards
•    Collect air, water or soil samples, prepare samples for testing, record data, and prepare summary reports 
•    Use specialized equipment and apparatus to prepare analyses, reports, and/or technical drawings
•    Maintain results logs and effectively communicate methods and observation made in the field
•    Set up, maintain, and calibrate radiation detection equipment 
•    Will require some lifting and carrying
•    Field assignments will require travel and/or work to be performed in the US and occasionally internationally to mobilize, install, operate and maintain radiological equipment under a variety of environmental and climatic conditions for extended periods of time

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

•    Minimum of 9 years of directly relevant and increasingly advancing experience.
•    High School Diploma or equivalent, AS or BS degree preferred
•    ANSI 13.2 qualifications, or equivalent, as a Senior Health Physics Technician 
•    NRRPT preferred
•    Computer proficiency to include MS Word and database skills
•    Knowledge of GPS operations preferred
•    Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work alone and with a team
•    Understanding of applicable scientific methods and technical methodologies
•    Ability to use radiological equipment in an effective and safe manner
•    Ability to understand procedural manuals and execute work orders
•    Ability to write and prepare reports and documentation
•    Attention to detail
•    Ability to work independently
•    Ability to follow directions
•    Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
•    Ability and willingness to travel to project sites in the US and internationally, approximately 75% overnight travel.
•    Mechanical and electrical maintenance capabilities preferred
•    Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
•    HAZWOPER Training preferred
•    Must pass physical and background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving policy.
