WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Signal Manager - Train Control Systems at one of these offices: One Penn, NY; Newark, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; or Baltimore, MD office.

Your Impact

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the signal discipline in the design and delivery of project tasks and managing scope, budget, and quality control.
  • Responsible for coordinating project priorities, staffing schedules, and staff assignments to ensure clients are provided the proper resources at the appropriate time.
  • Responsible for technical coaching and mentoring and efficient, productive utilization of staff in providing high-quality service.
  • Responsible for hiring, supervising, and developing staff members, as well as establishing and approving budgets for the group.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or 15 years of experience in the design, installation, and operation of train control systems.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of Train Control Systems.
  • Experience in Train Control System Design Management, Construction Management, and/or Project Management.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Professional Engineering License preferred (NY or NJ)
  • Experience with train control systems for Light Rail, Heavy Rail, Commuter Rail, Mass Transit, and High Speed Rail Projects

Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $139,300 - $200,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
