Your Impact

  • Developing and supervising geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing programs for highway and transit projects
  • Performing geotechnical analyses and design of shallow and deep foundations, embankments/cuts, and earth retaining systems for transportation/water/energy projects
  • Performing numerical analysis for complex underground projects
  • Preparing geotechnical memoranda and reports
  • Developing geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring plan
  • Providing design services during construction

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior geotechnical design experience
  • Professional Engineer Registration in Washington or Oregon
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in geotechnical engineering
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel for field work

Preferred Qualifications 

  • MS in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical emphasis
  • Familiar with seismic design specifications and requirements in Pacific Northwest
  • Proven Experience using engineering software from commercially available developers (i.e. Ensoft, Itasca, Rocscience, Bentley)
  • Experience with MicroStation and GIS systems

Compensation:

Expected Salary : $95,000 - $110,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
