This Opportunity

Provides technical planning assistance and guidance for capturing, modeling, and analyzing work site information, geographical resources, and spatial and tabular data to inform and create plans for land use and urban development that account for economic, social, and environmental impact.  Tasks may include assisting with the preparation of general plans, specific/master plans, zoning code updates, public involvement, and regulatory compliance for a variety of client projects relating to development, construction, infrastructure, transportation, environment, resiliency, revitalization, and adaptation.  Generates accurate and concise documentation, assessing and advising on project areas by applying and integrating environmental and regional planning with a focus on economic development and effective land use.  Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards. This position can be 100% remote or in a hybrid work environment in the Dallas office.

We have an opportunity for a Sr. ROW Agent to support our ROW Team in Dallas, Texas. Our projects are located throughout the state and include easements and fee takings.

Your Impact

  • Analyze parcels to evaluate potential problems
  • Negotiation for acquisition of real property to achieve closing and meet schedule requirements
  • Conducts County record searches for property information
  • Ability to review Title and identify potential issues
  • Provide proper documentation as required by the client
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary
  • Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years minimum of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Texas State Property Code
  • Professional and personable demeanor with co-workers, visitors, clients and vendors
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team situations
  • Detail oriented, proactive individual who takes ownership of their work
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required.  Excel experience is a plus
  • Moderate proficiency with technical business writing, office automation and communication software, technology, and tools.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, and identify the most effective manner to accomplish objectives of assigned projects.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

License, Certifications, Credentials, or other Requirement:

  • Licensed by Texas Real Estate Commission
  • IRWA Certifications is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in required in working with TXDOT ROWAPS contracts. Knowledge of TxDOT policy and procedures
  • Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
