This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Surveyor with our New England Geospatial team in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

Your Impact

  • Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys for civil transportation projects
  • Perform GPS surveying 
  • Utilize Auto CAD Civil 3D to edit field book files
  • Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys
  • Working closely and in collaboration with a dynamic team of experienced professionals
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Remain current in the latest survey knowledge, techniques, and practices.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Out of the area travel, with potential of overnight stays, as projects dictate.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years of survey experience.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
  • Must possess a willingness to learn 
  • Ability to work outside in all climates
  • Requires availability to travel out of the area, with a potential of overnight stays, as projects dictate
  • Requires availability to work nights and overtime, as projects dictate
  • Valid driver's license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening. 
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, Laser scanning & GPS Surveys
  • Experience with collecting field data in a line work format
