This Opportunity

The WSP US Advisory practice is dedicated to transforming the business of infrastructure across the transportation, buildings, energy, water, environment, and power sectors. We provide our clients with the full range of strategic planning, organizational development, economic and financial analysis and project development services supported by WSP's engineering expertise in all infrastructure markets.  

Our Asset Management Business Advisory service line provides asset lifecycle planning and enterprise transformation services on every level within an organization. We work as trusted advisors to executive leaders through to the maintenance technician - driving organization, process and activity change to realize tangible benefits - including improvements to service delivery, cost savings, risk and safety improvements.

We also work to enable clients to be Digital Ready - identifying the data needs for management action and decision-making, designing appropriate technology solutions and importantly, delivering the organization change management associated with digitalization and supporting WSP create the digital thread from design to operations and maintenance.  

You will join a group of trusted advisors and analysts, delivering business and asset performance improvement solutions to our transit, highways, and other sector clients. WSP is currently initiating a search for a Vice President, Advisory ServicesOur team works nationally with team members being located across the country. The preferred home location for this posting is New York City.

Your Impact

  • You will lead and deliver range of asset management projects with some of the largest, iconic infrastructure owners and operators in the United States – with a focus on Transit and/or Highways, Airports, Power asset management.
  • The work you will do will directly impact how our clients deliver their services, providing tangible improvements to performance, risk and cost. 
  • To do this, you will:
    • Work within and/or lead our enterprise asset management delivery teams, providing strategic consulting services including ISO55001/best practices assessments and improvement planning,  organization and process improvements.
    • Work collaboratively within a team and lead teams, leveraging your experience and understanding of transit and/or highways asset management to deliver complex, multi-disciplinary projects, large and small.
    • Work with our clients to assess, discuss, define, and implement change related to people, process, data, and technology.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Research or closely related and applicable discipline
  • 12+ years of post-education experience performing similar work
  • Functional knowledge of EAM Systems such as IBM Maximo, Trapeze, Hexagon/Infor
  • Data Standards and Data Governance
  • Asset Performance Management
  • Demonstrated understanding of ISO55001 and its implementation within agencies operationally
  • Demonstrated understanding of asset management regulations applicable to US transit and/or highways agencies
  • Experience developing AM Frameworks; AM Policies, SAMPs, business process re-engineering, capital needs identification and prioritization
  • Excellent facilitation, written and verbal communication, and report writing and presentation skills
  • Experience working as a consultant, successful track record of managing the delivery of complex asset management projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional IQ
  • Strong team player who can get things done
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience within the engineering consulting industry is preferred.
  • Management Consulting, Advisory or Data Science experience.
  • Prior experience working in asset management.
  • Proven experience in consulting or a comparable role in an organization where the individual has held a role responsible for managing data, information or the deployment of technologies to manage assets.
  • Familiarity with national and international practices and standards related to asset management.
  • An understanding of the use and structure of Enterprise Asset Management Systems - including Maximo, Infor, and other systems.
  • IAM Diploma or Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA) certificate
  • Certified Reliability Professional

Compensation:

Expected Salary (New York): $156,300 - $232,100

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
