EARLY CAREER STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - 16701

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Early Career Structural Engineer for our Boston office. Be involved in projects with our Transportation Facilities team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

  • The Transportation Facilities group is a building structures group primarily focused on buildings related to transportation – airports, transit buildings, train stations, parking garages. 
  • Key Clients for our Boston group include the Massachusetts Port Authority and MBTA.

Your Impact

  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering, or related degree.
  • 0 to 1 years of relevant post education experience.
  • Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Local candidate preferred
  • Familiarity with local building codes and design standards  
  • Recent graduate or May 2024 Graduate in an accredited structural Engineering, or related, Undergraduate or Graduate program.
  • 0-3 years of internship experience in structural Engineering.
  • Experience using Revit, STAAD, ETABS,
